Li-ion batteries are the criticalenabling technology for the portable devices, electric vehicles, and renewableenergy. However, the safety of current batteries still need to be improved tosatisfy these requirements. We systematically investigated the electrochemicalstability window of the electrolytes, interface/interphase stability andresistance between electrodes and electrolytes. The critical issues limitingthese safe electrolytes will be discussed.
